Your newborn baby photo shoot can be a really lovely experience for you and for your baby.  To really make the most out of your time here, it’s important to arrive in a relaxed frame of mind. We book in  two hours for your photo shoot, so there’s plenty of time. If you are running a little late try not to worry, we understand that life with a baby can be hectic and unpredictable. Try to set off a few minutes earlier than planned. Yarm is notoriously busy and parking can be an issue at peak times. You should be able to find a space, below are links to local car parks within walking distance of the studio if you can’t find a spot on the high street.

A muslin cloth, wet wipes and nappies are always useful. Pacifiers can be handy too. Our aim will be to settle baby before taking any shots. We’ll work together at a relaxed pace. We have lots of experience with newborns and parents. The most important thing is for everyone to be relaxed, your baby is sure to pick up on these vibes and will relax into the session perfectly. We’ll have light music playing and the studio will be lovely and warm.

We recommend a maximum of three outfits. We have a range of headbands, wraps and beautiful, soft blankets that you can use to compliment your outfit choices. Please feel free to bring along any blankets or soft toys that you may like to include (you don’t have to bring anything if you don’t want to, we have plenty right here).

Our preferred style is to focus on the beauty of your baby, which leads to timeless images that have a classic quality. You don’t need to worry about lots of props, we can change the look of your portraits with lighting adjustments, different coloured blankets and outfit changes. Baby will not be posed in any awkward/unsafe positions.

We have a kettle and a microwave that you can use for feeding.

The studio is on the first floor, so there are stairs to navigate. It’s easy enough to carry a pram upstairs and we can help you with this.

We will be on hand to guide you through the process, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience with beautiful results.

The high street is your best parking option but below are dedicated car parks around town...
